Ingredients
– me
– you
Instructions
1. start with cherry blossoms on the tree, lapping up the breeze with their soft pink tongues
2. add in blue-gray skies that widen as you look up, never-ending gulfs of inhalations
3. slowly combine the cracked rubber of an old tire swing, the creaky chain saying hello as it makes lazy circles
4. mix in a pinch of a mango smoothie, all creamy and orange and a bit too sweet, dripping down your chin like butterfly tears
5. whisk with the quiet buzz of a fly hovering at the edge of your shoulder
6. bring to a simmer the smiles of the tree branches as they welcome you back
7. stir in bare feet leaving imprints in an old flower quilt, park grass pebbly through the fabric, the soft divots beckoning you to press your feet down further and further and further until there are holes in the earth and you are covered in a blanket of soft wet dirt
8. bake at a temperature of 60 degrees where the sun and the breeze speak softly to each other
9. serve with a leathery book or a glistening glass of lemon water
