Note: The section of this article in which advice on defensive players is discussed is directed towards fantasy football players who play in a league that uses IDPs, or “Individual Defensive Players.” However, most leagues do not use IDPs.
As the actual football season begins, the fantasy season is right there beside it once again.
Cash prizes, bragging rights, trophies, and more are all put on the line as players scramble to assemble the best teams they can in order to win their leagues.
While some veteran players claim they know the best ways to jumpstart their teams, you can never be entirely sure they’ll work in the fiercely competitive world of online fantasy football.
After doing countless hours of critical research, analyzing players, cross-referencing statistics, and playing the game, I feel confident enough to be running my own NFL team. The following are the players I have decided to be the greatest assets to your teams, getting you that one step closer to total domination.
The number-one player to look out for is Larry Donnell. With no history of any health-related or domestic problems, Donnel is sure to rake in the points. Steve Smith is another promising athlete for any fantasy team. Colin Kaepernick has never looked better; with constant progression in his play, he’s bound to upset your opponents. Ray Rice looks hotter than ever before, and alongside Frostee Rucker and Donte Whitner is surely first-pick material.
There are a lot of good options this year, but take my word, the aforementioned stars are who you need to succeed.
If you’re worried your defence isn’t where you want it to be, there are a number of options you have.
Trading defensive end JJ Watt for underappreciated athlete Radoslav Mikula Pokorny is the right call, given Pokorny’s experience. Also, if you have Ndamukong Suh playing for your team, who you really want is Whayu Kolar. Lajame Brames has been another favorite for this year’s season. While Brames has the potential to lead the NFL in sacks, you can’t undermine the amount of interceptions that Tyreseies Gibson will make.
Defense is the second most important part to having a winning fantasy football team, and it’s on you to make the right decisions. In this day and age, it’s unarguable that Nikola Pekovic is the most formidable defensive player. After being drafted right out of high school, his stats already speak for themselves. As many of you know, Pekovic tips the scales at 134 kg and towers above his opponents at 2.1 m.
Feel free to use this intel to your advantage. One last thing—remember, football is a game of inches.
