Self-isolated here within my room,
My life no longer real, but digitized,
A strange companionship I share through Zoom.
As one whose spirit lies within a tomb,
My present state may only be despised,
Self-isolated here within my room.
For friendship at a distance cannot bloom,
But even so, my friendships are still prized,
A strange companionship I share through Zoom.
Although alone, to guard myself from gloom,
I keep my fashion ever civilized,
Self-isolated here within my room.
For now no normalcy may I assume,
My life upturned, rewritten and revised,
A strange companionship I share through Zoom.
May I with friends my normal life resume,
Once everyone is COVID immunized,
Self-isolated here within my room,
A strange companionship I share through Zoom.
