Across all categories, there was a broad range of nominees, from breakthrough artists to industry titans This year, the ceremony introduced three new categories: Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album, and Best Pop Dance Recording. These categories were added by members of the Academy in efforts to be more comprehensive, inclusive, and accurate in their nominations.

Serban Ghenea, Phoebe Bridgers, and first-time nominee Victoria Monet follow closely, each garnering seven nominations. Bridgers was also commended for her work with the band boygenius, with six of their nominations contributing to her count. Ghenea is an acclaimed producer renowned for working with artists such as Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Adele, and more. Tied with six nominations are Jack Antonoff, Taylor Swift, boygenius, Jon Batiste, Miley Cyrus, Olivia Rodrigo, Billie Eilish, and Brandy Clark.
