ICSD Second Semester Commendation Ceremony
By CAEDMON SETHUPATHY
IHS hosts two district commendations ceremonies throughout the year. The first, in January, has come and gone, but students and staff can look forward to another chance at recognition for their exceptional accomplishments on April 16. The ICSD commendations ceremonies aim to celebrate educators and students who have demonstrated immense commitment and/or aptitude in a specific discipline. Any IHS student may nominate another student or a teacher for recognition. The attached QR code opens the nomination form, which closes on April 1. Feel free to nominate anyone in our school community who has accomplished something truly remarkable this year. Lastly, don’t forget to show support to the awardees and take a seat in the audience (Kulp Auditorium) at 5 p.m. on the aforementioned date.
International Fair
By JUJU CRANE
IHS’s Student Council will be hosting an International Fair on Monday, April 15, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the cafeteria!
According to student council officers, the goal of hosting the International Fair is to educate and expose people to the cultures of the world. Any clubs, students, or staff that represent a culture are encouraged to participate by having their own booth. These booths can include cultural games and activities and/or cultural foods. The event could also be a fundraising opportunity for IHS student organizations, as it will be using a ticket system, and any tickets collected by booths will be traded in as profit.
