O, spread your arms like the plague – let me fall
Pulled down into your tentacle embrace
I delve in – diluted: your ocean’s sprawl
Cold water soaks bones but I’m warm – Encased
I gurgle on love – my heightened senses
My fears, you snap – like ship hulls cracking
In your vast grasp, I find my defenses
Yet men will judge that I love the Kraken
Is our love unjust? You could bring danger.
“Could” doesn’t mean “Would” – wood rots in the sea.
You “beast of the depths” – monster of nature
Is it worth risking your waves – if I’m free?
Do all men not love that which could drown them?
That which swallows us whole – Leviathan.
