Your light hit me
At an angle, precise
A child’s game
At a calculated price
You cast my shadow large
On a plastered wall
You cowered beneath me
Yet I loomed so small
You shuddered at my pleas
Muffled to a growl
One twist of the light
And you grew me claws
So I ripped off my scales
My armor collapsed
My claws tore the skin
Of a young beast trapped
You watched me writhe
Looked on as I bled
Laughed as this monster
Raised your ugly head
