The relocation of ICSD administration personnel to the top of Highway 13 is not a polarizing issue, and multiple perspectives are not appreciated. However, because apparently something called “free speech” exists in this country, we must present both the correct opinion and an opinion to appease the insurgents. Of course, most (reasonable) people can agree that there are a plethora of benefits to the administration’s relocation, but, since there are a minority of (unreasonable) people who disagree with this sentiment, we’re going to break down why the administration should be relocated (and why it shouldn’t be).
Take 1: The administration should certainly be moved to the top of Highway 13
1. More snow days
Anyone going up or down Highway 13 on a day of freezing rain or slippery snow knows that it can be dangerous. Cars going 55 miles per hour (or more, depending on how many reckless IHS student drivers are on the roads) end up skidding, snow obstructs the vision of drivers, and it’s cold. If the administration personally understands such dangers more acutely, they are more likely to give us more snow days (for student safety, of course).
2. Administrative intercommunication
Moving administration all into one place has an additional benefit; it can boost intercommunication. Gone will be the Walkie-Talkies: now, administrators just have to walk five feet north to discuss mutual issues to tackle at school.
Take 2: The administration should not be relocated (to be clear, we oppose this opinion)
1. It’s unethical
We can’t just force administrators to pick up their bags and move (can’t we?)! They have lives outside of school (do they really…)! Friends (doubtful…)! Family members who may have to relocate with them (it’s fine; the family members would likely rather stay home)! Additionally, moving administrators onto a highway could have health risks (we don’t particularly care, though)!
2. [unavailable]
We couldn’t think of any other reason to stop the relocation of our administration. The previous point we had brainstormed was too weak of a point and therefore redacted.
→ There are several other reasons why one may think the IHS administration should be relocated to the top of Highway 13 (although sadly, no more reasons as to why they should not). However, we would still like to know your thoughts about the “Relocation of Administration Personnel to the Top of Highway 13”. Go to <https://bit.ly/CTAprFools2023> or scan the QR code and tell us where you stand! Votes are collected until April 08, 2023, and results will be released in the May 2022 issue of The Tattler.
March 2023 Voting Results: The Incomparable Quantity of Wheels and Doors
In the last issue, we discussed whether there are more wheels or doors in the universe. Readers were then asked to vote on the side for which they stood. Here is what they think!
80% believe that there are more wheels than doors
20% believe that there are more doors than wheels
