Ithaca’s Girls Varsity Lacrosse is off to a strong start this season, with a 5-1 record. The team has pulled off tight victories over section rivals Corning and Horseheads, and looks to continue their streak into the rest of the season and replicate their historic season from last year. Key offensive players include Ava Fontaine ’28 and Sage Bliss ’27, who have each tallied eight goals as of April 17. Hailey June ’27 leads the defense as the new starting goalie.

With a tight win over section rival Corning, Ithaca Boys Lacrosse hopes to make a run for sectionals this year. After graduating a huge senior class, they’re rebuilding their offense around key players like Quentin Getzin ’26 and Jacob Steele ’26. On the defensive end, goalie Thomas Howley ’26 has proved indispensable to the team as they improve to a 5-0 record.

Our softball team is looking forward to having a much larger program this season, creating a platform on which to build for their upcoming seasons. Seniors Peyton Yengo ’26 and Farrah Deaveiro ’26 have led the team, and both are recruited athletes headed to Tompkins Cortland Community College next year. They look to become contenders in Section IV in the next few years.
